We’re still in the process of lining up our speaker schedule, and currently taking applications, but here is a short summary of the daily events for this year’s event.
Friday 3/23
Speaker/Sponsor Social
Home of the famous taco bar and back by demand is our speaker/sponsor social. This years event will be held at
Co-Merge which is in downtown San Diego and steps from the gaslamp district.
Even better is we’re opening up the number of guests to this event by including a ticket with our individual sponsor package. So come early and rub elbows with the WordPress Community.
Saturday 3/24
WordCamp
We’re very excited to report that this year we moved the venue to
Thomas Jefferson School of Law right in the heart of downtown’s East Village. It sits right next to a trolley station giving you quick and easy access to all the things downtown has to offer, most importantly the event hotel and after party.
Based on feedback from last year, we’re going to take a different approach to this years sessions. We will have 2 tracks with very specific focus in each. Don’t worry, we’re sure we will have something for everyone. See a more detailed description of our tracks here…..
Technical Track
This track will address our very technical attendees with high level discussions on everything from Application and Infrastructure Performance to Debugging Themes. This is not for the beginner but is definitely a set of sessions that the WordPress Design and Developer professionals will appreciate.
End-User Track
If you’re new to WordPress or consider yourself an ‘end-user’ this is where you want to be. We will cover topics like WordPress training and content creation to how to become more involved in the WordPress community. Sessions in this track can be enjoyed by all of our attendees but the focus will be for users who do not consider themselves industry professionals.
WordCamp After Party
Back at the same location for the 2nd year in a row, the official after party will be held at
Downtown Johnny Brown’s. The after party is open to all attendees and we will again have light appetizers served. This is one of the best beer bars in the massive San Diego beer scene, so if you’re a fan of great beer and even better company, this is an event you do not want to miss.
Sunday 3/25
The Unconference
While WordCamp is an amazing learning experience, we know that they are not the best to get some one-on-one time with the connections you made. So on Sunday we will be hosting The Unconference event at
Co-Merge. Admission is included but registration is requested as we will be providing food and drinks.
Unlike Developer Days, our The Unconference event will focus on providing something for everyone and we’re open to suggestions as to what you would like to see. We will have hand-on workshops led by industry professionals, and breakout sessions that accommodate end-users and technical users professionals.
